The urban dilemma in a glass of beer (copyright: turbine Bräu)

What is the link between half a glass of the swiss turbine Bräu, Henri Lefebvre's concept of diverted space and the contemporary fuzz about temporary, creative spaces? As part of research projects to Roskilde University and Technical University of Denmark Super Tanker unfolded their thoughts on the potentials and Peril of urban vague spaces to the conference ' Beyond Lefebvre 'at ETH in Zurich on the French urban philosopher.

The common denominator between the discourse on creative cities and the critique of neoliberal urbanization was discussed with the Anglo-Belgian 'prophessor' of urban politics Eric Swyngedouw and the finnish professor of 'weak places' and architecture, Panu Lehtovuori , among others. One important conclusion is that while the Peril Are Staring us in the face, we have only scratched the surface of the urban potentials of vague spaces.
